Ramblemoor is a first-person exploration and painting game. Inspired by gouache and acrylic painting.

A large part of the look of Ramblemoor comes from a custom edge-detection post-process which selectively blurs and outlines parts of the screen. Much of the objects in the game are made from a ‘kit’ of 3D brush strokes. The player has the ability to modify or reveal these objects in the world and paint there own.

A system to randomly generate lighting and color based on a selection of preset ‘palettes’ makes each experience unique. Ramblemoor was a continuation of the ‘Ramble’ prototype, started as a tool to brainstorm color and compositions for paintings.
