Ramble was one of my first completed games in which the player explores an endless procedurally generated watercolor-inspired world.
My goal for this project was to create a relaxed experience that felt like walking through a painting in 3D.
I used a simple models with world-aligned textures taken from scans of paper and paint. Decals, a randomized color post-processing and real-time day/night lighting all worked together to complete the effect.
